Thriving by Tiffany Fulbright
Are you surviving or are you THRIVING?
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive, and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style.” -Maya Angelou
Let’s define thrive: to grow or develop successfully, to flourish or succeed. Survive: to remain alive, to continue to live, to continue to exist.
I came across this quote the other day and I believe it was sent to me by someone I love. My family has been in the midst of surviving the past 16 months. We were forever changed by the tragic loss of a family member. The grief was undeniable but with it came an ignition of my soul. It spread like wildfire turning into a passionate desire to live, love and laugh boldly, every single day. I yearn to spread this life, love and laughter to whoever I encounter. On this journey of grief, I found my passion to teach yoga to kids. It has not only helped me survive my day to day grief but to thrive. Thriving with endless gratitude for this moment and even more hopeful and excited for the next. Children have a beautifully, naive perspective of the world with endless possibilities and the wildest of dreams! I am continually inspired to grow, learn, laugh, play, heal and flourish because of them. You only get one chance at this life. Do you want to just survive it or thrive at it? Create the life you want and THRIVE! Surround yourself with others who have passion, compassion, style and most of all humor! Choose to THRIVE this holiday season!
